In a very sad case out of Durham, North Carolina the body of 5-year-old Jadon Higganbothan and a woman, Antoinetta McKoy, 28, have been found in a backyard partially buried. 7 people of a cult called, “The Black Hebrew Israelites,” have been charged in their murders including the alleged leader, Pete Lucas Moses, Jr., 27.

The bodies were found on June 9, 2011. when a landlord in Durham called a plumber to check out a horrible smell coming from his backyard because he thought the smell was a sewer backup. Soon afterwards they discovered a partially buried plastic bag and called police. “We see something buried in a plastic bag … it has a horrible smell … and we don’t think it’s an animal or nothing, it seems like it could possibly be another human,” the plumber told the 911 operator. The police then discovered the grisly scene that the bags held.

Jadon Higganbothan

I went from anger to sadness to happy back to sadness,” Higganbothan’s father Jamiel Higganbothan told WTVD (out of Durham) when he heard his son’s body had been found. (I hope the happiness was over the boy being found, not him being dead.) McKoy was last seen in December of 2010 and FINALLY reported missing in February 2011. Meanwhile, the 5 year old had been missing since October. Now Pete Lucas Moses, Jr. is charged in the murders along with Higganbothan’s mother, 25-year-old Vania Sisk, 40-year-old Lavada Quinzetta Harris, 56-year-old Sheilda Evelyn Harris, 21-year-old P. Leonard Moses, 20-year-old Sheila Falisha Moses, and 40-year-old Larhonda Renee Smith. Pete appeared in court on June 10, 2011 although Moses’ brother, who only identified himself as Jay, says there IS no cult. (Imagine him not wanting to be connected to this crime. If your brother did nothing wrong why are you hiding your identity?) “The detectives made up the group,” Jay said. “It’s not true.”

An informant told police that Moses was mad at Higganbothan and called him into the basement and then the informant said he “heard loud music and the sound of a gunshot” and the boy wasn’t seen by them again. They then said that Jadon was put into plastic, stuffed in a suitcase, and placed in the attic of the home. When the small body began to stink Moses allegedly got the informant to remove the body. The informant also told police that Sisk shot McKoy when she tried to leave the group. When the informant began talking to police earlier this year the cult moved to Colorado for a short time and then back to North Carolina.

Antoinetta McKoy

“They want to get more details about exactly who did what,” criminal defense attorney Hart Miles said. “If you’re a lesser player and you’re involvement is more minor you want to make sure and come to the table and cooperate so that that the potential for the harshest punishment comes off the table.” (Why the hell you would want to take the “harshest punishment” off the table for anyone involved in this heinous crime is beyond me.)

When Higganbothan’s mother, Vania Sisk, 25, was arrested for pot charges in April during a raid at the house that all the cult members seemed to live at she said she had left the boy with an “acquaintance” in February however no one seems to have seem him since October of last year and she gave police 2 different names for the acquaintance. When the home was searched during the raid police found traces of blood, a spent bullet, and shell casings. A previous warrant showed that she was suspected of shooting McKoy but apparently blood and a spent bullet wasn’t enough to charge her.

Click here to see the search warrants.

Sisk’s grandmother, Naomi Sisk, 73, explained to ABC News that she felt “awful” after hearing about Sisk’s charges because she had played a role in raising her. Naomi obviously cared about this girl because she hadn’t spoken to her in 6 years and had never met little Jadon. “She needs to get out of that cult, but it’s too late now,” Naomi Sisk said. “She’s like the rest of them in that group, brainwashed.”

The murdered woman’s sister, Janayia Dubose, told local news that McKoy was scared of the group. Dubose recalls her sister telling her, “You don’t understand how it works, they kill people.”  (I wonder if they’ve killed before and, if so, whom.)

Besides the murder charges the alleged ring leader faces charges on kidnapping, one count of assault by pointing a gun, one count of assault on a female, one count of communicating threats and failure to appear in court that were filed in April. (I have no idea why he was out of jail from all that.) It came as such a surprise (sarcasm) when a  spokesperson for the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation confirms that they are assisting the Durham police but cannot comment on an ongoing investigation. The group is scheduled in court again on June 30th and I’ll keep you all updated!

Durham, North Carolina-Prosecutors announced in a hearing Friday that they plan to seek the death penalty and let some details about their case again Peter Lucas Moses Jr. slip. He is the one accused of murdering a 4-year-old boy and 28-year-old woman because of his involvement in the Black Hebrew Israelites, a suspected cult. This religious sect believes that a race war is coming that will leave black people dominant and supreme, according to the court documents that were submitted Friday. (Let’s all pray they convict this worthless piece of shit!)

Moses is facing 2 counts of first-degree murder in the killings of Antoinetta Yvonne McKoy, 28, and Jadon Higganbothan, 4.

Prosecutors showed their theories to Judge Jim Hardin on Friday in Durham County Superior Court as part of a legal proceeding that goes on in all capital punishment cases in North Carolina. The theories are based on the statements made by an informant who lived in the cult’s home and began talking to the police several months ago. (But yet he did nothing while the murders were occurring and actually helped dispose of Jadon’s dead body by his own account.)

The district attorney, Tracey Cline, briefly described some of the just plain weird scenarios that police and investigators had put together for what happened to Jadon and McKoy who lived with the defendant and the rest of the cult at 2109 Pear Tree Lane.

The idiot women that are also defendants in the murder case thought of themselves as Moses’ wives. They also referred to him as “Lord,” the prosecution alleges. That includes the murdered little boy’s mother, Vania Higganbothan, who is also charged in the murders. (See I told you they were idiots!)

The prosecution’s theory behind Jadon’s death was that his interactions with 1 of the other 8 children that lived in the home lead to his demise. Sometime in October of 2010 one of the moron women told Moses that Jadon had hit another boy’s bottom. (Probably repeating some of the abuse that had been heaped upon him.) The defendant retaliated because he though Jadon might be gay. He based that on the fact that the boy’s father had left his lunatic mother.

Being gay is frowned upon by the Black Hebrew Israelites so Moses told the boy’s mother to get rid of him. He then ordered 2 of the other women to set up speakers and computers in the garage and then he took little Jadon into it. As the Lord’s Prayer played in Hebrew with loud music in the background a gunshot sounded. One of the women later informed police that Jadon was shot in the head.

The women then cleaned Jadon’s dead body and put it in a suitcase in the master bedroom until Moses complained of the dead boy’s smell the prosecution contends.

Police are still unsure of when McKoy was killed but they think the woman, who knew Moses in high school, was killed weeks, or even months, after Jadon.

After finding out that she couldn’t have children she wrote in her journal several times that she was afraid that “Lord” might kill her prosecutors say. Probably acting on that instinct McKoy tried to escape the house right before her murder. This is according to a neighbor that was interviewed by police. (Um, how about calling police when you see someone trying to FLEE a house???)

One day last December she ran to that neighbor’s home and asked to use a cell phone to call her mom in Washington. The neighbor says that they thought the woman was mentally troubled and had run away from a local group home and that’s why they didn’t call police. (If you thought a mental person was escaping a group home wouldn’t you call the police? So I ask again, why didn’t they call? Where they afraid of Moses?)

The other women then came out of the house and wrestled McKoy to the ground and then forced her back inside the neighbor told police. (That neighbor let her be murdered by not getting involved in my eyes. That crime should be prosecuted as well!)

Because that neighbor failed to act Moses then beat McKoy all day and then tried to strangle her with an extension cord. (Why is it always the extension cord? I can never find one when I need it!) The informant says that McKoy begged Moses for her life.

The informant then said that Moses went and got the same gun used to kill Jadon and took it to the bathroom with McKoy where one of the other women shot her. The same music that was playing when Jadon was killed was also used to mask her murder. (Talk about a ritual!)

McKoy’s remains were kept in a trash bin inside the house before it was buried in a shallow grave beside the little boy’s. The remains were found in June, months after missing persons investigations were launched in the cases. They were found at an Ashe Street home where Moses’ parents lived for a short time. They haven’t said if the parents lived there when the bodies were buried.

Meanwhile, the prosecutors also DROPPED some of the charges against Moses. Durham County Assistant District Attorney Kelly Gauger on Wednesday dropped charges against Moses including assault by pointing a gun, second-degree kidnaping, assault on a female, and communicating threats. (Why drop any of the charges? If he did what they say he did he’s also guilty of these charges! Maybe they don’t want to over-charge him and get a bad verdict as some feel happened in the Casey Anthony case???)

A Durham County grand jury in June handed down these indictments:

Pete Lucas Moses Jr. on two counts of first-degree murder.

    P. Leonard Moses on accessory after the fact to the first-degree murder of McKoy.

Shelia Moses on accessory after the fact to the first-degree murder of McKoy.

Vania Rae Sisk on murder and accessory after the fact to the murder of Higganbothan.

LaRhonda Renee Smith on murder, accessory after the fact to the murder of Higganbothan, felony breaking or entering, and larceny after breaking or entering.

Lavada Quinzetta Harris on murder and accessory after the fact to the murder of Higganbothan.

Sheilda Evelyn Harris on accessory after the fact to the first-degree murder of McKoy.

On July 25, 2011 there will be a hearing for one of the idiot women in this case, LaRhonda Renee Smith. On that day they will decide her bond. (I don’t think any of the child-killing bastards should get out to run and hide with their cult and kill again!) At that hearing the Durham County District Attorney Tracey Cline is also going to address parental rights regarding all of the children involved with these freaks. Cline stated that the kids will likely become witnesses in the trials.

Anyone in this case charged with murder won’t be getting bonded out, thank God. They simply aren’t eligible for it. I’ll keep you updated as I get more information on the case!
