Terrie Robinson Slow Cooks Her Son

Greenville, Mississippi One of my greatest accomplishments was impressing a couple of black women with my culinary prowess in the deep South. Believe me, it’s a moment I’ll not forget for quite some time. These women took everything they did seriously, especially cooking. I’d spent months attempting to prove my worth as a supervisor with these two which was no easy task; I’d never folded a fitted sheet properly (strike one) and I’d never put a grit or a collard green in my mouth (strikes two – ten). So when it came to a potluck dinner, I kept my contribution a top secret thinking if it were a complete failure, I could ditch it and go to Piggly Wiggly or Winn Dixie and pick up a nice dessert. But I persevered and not only did I win respect in the kitchen, they shared a few tips in preparing the true Southern delicacies. I listened enthusiastically. I knew I’d never use a single one of them – I didn’t care for grits – I loathed collard and turnip greens – but the manner in which they spoke displayed sheer unadulterated passion for their time in the kitchen. As one would start to share, the other would nod in agreement and sing praises to the Lord. I learned how prideful the true Southern women were about their food and I learned a true meal is something that cannot be thrown together on a whim. It’s worked for, it’s lovingly prepared, and it takes a great deal of time. Which leads me to Terrie Robinson. As I write, I’m imagining the conversation I’d be having with Miss Mackannie and Miss Hannah regarding Robinson’s culinary contribution. I think it’s safe to say these ladies had cooked up just about everything under the sun but it’s equally safe to say I don’t think they’d ever cooked up one of their children.

Police responded to Terrie Robinson’s residence shortly after midnight for an undisclosed reason. It’s unclear what led them to the kitchen. Maybe Terrie was acting strangely, maybe her young daughter said something, maybe the smell emitting triggered a friendly conversation. Whatever transpired, it led the police to open the oven door and find Terrie’s 3-year-old son. Charred and still warm.

Little Tristen Robinson appeared to have some head trauma but an autopsy has been ordered to determine if he’d died due to that or if he died through the slow roasting setting he was apparently on.

Before everyone starts hating on Terrie, her sister wants us all to take pause and not judge her sister. “She was a great parent, a good person. We don’t know what’s wrong. We don’t know what happened. Do not sit there and call her a bad mom cause that’s not what she is.”  Mmmmkay, Sherrie. I haven’t spent a lot of time in Mississippi but I can pretty much define a “great parent” as one who spends quality time with their child/children. A great parent may read their child “Hansel and Gretel”, not act it out for real. A great parent takes time to cook their children supper, not cook their children…for any reason.

Terrie Robinson (24) has been arrested for murdering her son and is planned to be arraigned today, March 3rd. It’s unclear whether she’s being represented by an attorney.

It’s a curse I’m forced to live with, Laura. There was a lot more but I refrained for “taste” reasons. In the words of America’s new crackpot Charlie Sheen: “You borrow my brain for just 5 seconds, you’d be like, ‘Dude, can’t handle it – unplug this bastard”.

All is not lost. I’ll file those things away for another case that doesn’t involve the life of an innocent child and make you hate yourself (and me) even more.

    Hmmm…
Did anyone find a DVD copy of ‘Case 39’ lying around?

I could go on with this one for days. I just hope this nutso bitch runs through the nine gates of hell a thousand times.

She sure is mooning the sad face in her mug. Was that because dinner was ruined? Just don’t get it. Had a pet die recently and I made damned sure it’s body wasn’t defiled or disrespected in the slightest way. How in the hell do you do that to your child? The longer I live the more perplexed I become about my fellow man.

Oh fucking God. Coroner results are in: Little Tristen was indeed alive when he was placed into the oven by his mother. He died from heat injuries. They’re still attempting to determine if he was conscious at any time while baking.

Simple answer as to what happened.

She had been on crack cocaine for days, and had not slept in days. She had almost lost her mind from the drug, and the kid pissed her off. In her wacked out mind, she thought she would just punish him by putting him in the oven. But she then forgot about him, and continued to get wasted on the drug. When the cops got there, she was in complete psychosis, and did not even know who SHE was, or who HE was, or who her daughter was, or anything else.

The crack had totally wasted her brain.

Yep, that’d pretty well explain the nightmare…for the most part. What was the crack laced with? There are crack heads all over the world who smoke shitloads but they don’t bake their children.

There’s been no movement on the case, yet. The autopsy report indicates her son was alive prior to being cooked. I imagine the State is attempting to determine if they’ll seek the death penalty, which in my opinion, she should receive. Perhaps they’ll electrocute her slowly, placed in an electric oven, similar to her son’s fate.

Death is a fate too kind for this undeserving soul.

She should experience that kind of pain each and every day… for the rest of her natural life.

Agreed, Darling. But since the US gets all wimpy about torturing the worthless members of society behind bars, the death penalty is the next best thing…and we can only hope their electric chair malfunctions several times before the problem is corrected.

I also disagree with keeping the prisoners who’ve committed crimes against children, away from general population. They get what’s coming to them.

Wow, um…was this article supposed to be funny? I found it very offensive…This really isn’t a joking matter, especially in this way. I understand gallows humor, but…this is beyond that.

That being said, I think the fact that this woman’s sister said those things is even worse. I can’t imagine what her family is going through trying to make sense out of what happened, but to say that that woman was a good parent is ridiculous. If she was a good parent, as you mentioned, she would not have put her son in the oven, let alone turned that oven on while he was in it.

And, naturally, the very fact that we have to talk about this, the very fact that this HAPPENED, is the worst of all. I hope that this woman gets life without possibility of parole, and I also hope that she’s never granted any sort of retrial.

@ V: Obviously someone needs to re-read the article. The only reference or suggestion in this article that this woman is a good parent was the direct quote that Sherrie Robinson, the crazy cracked out bat’s sister, gave as an official statement to the public.

@ DarlingVioletta: Obviously someone needs to reread my comment, because when I was referencing that I was talking about the sister. And, I’m pretty sure I made that clear. It’s in the first line of the second paragraph.

I think I took it as sarcasm and that you were implying ThinkGoat herself was saying T.R. was a good mother.

    My apologies.

Ok, I have been reading several articles on this site, & this one, BY FAR, sickens me the most (although I am not done reading). Especially knowing he was still alive. I actually wanted to cry/vomit while reading:( And I hope that the little girl hasn’t been given to the sister, because if that’s her fucked up idea of a good parent, I’d hate to know what her parenting skills are.

I can not find the words right now… That is one sick cold hearted bitch.. And for her sister to say one word to defend her is insane.. In all my sick mind is asking what did the little girl do during all of this.. Was she made to watch?? And how tramatic to have to see, hear, and smell this..

Makes me wonder if the US should adopt a law.. You must pass this test to have a child… But then I am sure some sick people would pass it..
