Wes Craven’s landmark rape-revenge horror film that launched his career as well the “torture porn” genre of horror that has risen up over the past decade, “Last House” first assaulted its audience in 1972. Heralded in by one of the most infamous (and duplicated) ad campaigns ever that encouraged it’s audience that if the film got too intense for them to repeat the mantra “It’s only a movie…only a movie…..only a movie”, the film was one of the few movies for its time whose ads was more than just a shock tactic. Elmwood Place, Ohio: Whatever the hell Officer Ross Gilbert was expecting when he went on shift on August 17th, I’m certain it wasn’t what he experienced when he pulled over 36-year-old Colondra Hamilton for having illegally tinted windows. Ms. Hamilton, a Cincinnati resident had a very good reason for the heavily tinted windows. Tuscon, Arizona I’ve always wondered about the stigma attached to the those who’ve gotten busted for drugs…wondered how they’re viewed by their buddies. Is pitty taken upon these idiots: “Oh dude, you got busted? Dude, that sucks.” Or is it more of, “Dude, did you talk?” Are they shunned for their remaining free time – now an outcast to the outcasts? It may work both ways for a lot of these asses who decide to run drugs but for this poor bastard, I can pretty well guarantee his bust will be viewed as one well deserved. For those of us opposed to running drugs, we’ll chalk it up to another one of society’s finest off the street. To any stoner on the planet, they’ll view this guy as someone who not only got busted but who tried to smuggle almost a quarter of a million dollars worth of the shit – in shit.
